CJ said about 3,000. I saw lots of folks getting thier posters and visiting the portable college shop they had set up and then leave before the scrimmage started. Much better turnout than last year IMO. Cooler weather helped. From what I could see, the players were having a great time. So good to the young kids there. And KendyKat ;)

Thanks for the pictures, Marsha (and the kind words). :)I especially like that picture of Ricky Lumpkin and KendyKat. :)
FAN Day was such a FUN day! I had so much fun seeingyou guys and galsagain AND talking with the players and Joker. Besides talking with Joker, DeMoreo Ford, and Keenan Burton (who were first on my priorities), I chose to stand in the line waiting to talk with the defensive linemen (including Ricky Lumpkin), players who just don't normally get quite as much attention from us fans. Anyway, those guys (every single one of them) were just GREAT, all smiles, friendly and appreciative of our support. Did I say that I had FUN!!! :ggrin:
Of course, I especially loved the scrimmage. I'll hold those comments for another thread or so. :)

I forgot to mention the GREAT weather. WOW! That was a huge part of the great day.
In regard to the turnout (which was surely aided by the weather),I read 3500. Mr. Poodoo and I think thatmore than thatwere there by the time of theactual practice(and he had noticed a lot more fans coming into the stadium around one, the published time of the practice).A lot of fans left before the scrimmage was over, of course, as the practice lasted over two hours.Mr. Poodoo, though, sweetly let me stay until the very last snap and to applaud the players' efforts and performancebeforedriving about six more hours, including picking up our puppythat a son hadpuppy-sat.That was an early anniversary present for me. KUDOS to Mr. Poodoo! :)

I just wanted to say that those of you that live within access to the Cats are so lucky. I moved to Michigan 10 years ago, and have missed things like Fan Day SOOO much, especially now that I have a six year old that is gravetating towards Michigan State. Enjoy it, and realize that there is one Cat fan in Michigan who is so jealous.

I sympathize with you, I only live in Bardstown, but my six year old is being influenced by UL fans in his class. I've threatened making him move out :lol:if he turned to the dark side.
So taking him to the fan day made a big impression on him by letting him meet all the players, and try on the equipment. He didn't take the blue tape off of his ankles that the trainer put on him, till he was going to bed.

Ah, afellow troubled soul. My wife works at Michigan State, so I can't escape them no matter how bad I try. And, except for John L. I don't have any problems with MSU. I used to have football season tickets there(wore a Kentucky Shirt to every game) but I gave them up when they hired John L. But, I keep hope alive and hope he'll see that the Cats are the way to go.
