That makes you feel good doesn't it raftingdon2? If the Cards were in the SEC they wouldn't have a "cake walk" either. Things may not goas well as your No.14 rank in the nation would seem to indicate. The Cards are walking now with their snooty heads in the clouds but they might not be so thrilled by the time the season is over. As Yogi Berra used to say "its not over til its over." We will see just how good the bragging Cards are this year.:P;)

Preseason rankings mean NOTHING. It is only what you do on the field that matters. I am glad that UL is ranked so high so they can get the big head on their shoulders and lose which will happen more than you think this year.

Preseason rankings do matter in football. If you're way off the charts, there is no way you can move up to the top five if you're starting at 85 or so. I would agree in most sports that preseason rankings do not matter, but football is a different beast. I would agree tho that preseason rankings really don't dictate how a team will play on the field.
