- With some of the offensive players switching up jerseys, Brooks hammed it up with DeMoreo Ford. Ford jokingly and with his make-shift microphone, likes to conduct his mock interviews during the media's interview sessions. So, Brooks took a playful jab at Ford who was wearing No. 19 (Keenan Burton's Jersey). "Heah Keenan you looked a lot slower out there today."

LOL

I love that. It sounds like Coach Brooks can get along with the players pretty well.

Thanks for sharing, RV.

Too, EricBigNally, there is no doubt of that. I have been saying that for a couple of years now, based on comments I had read from the players and especially from watching Coach Brooks and the players interact on his television show.

By the way, DeMoreo Ford is already a favorite of mine, for sure! Hear that, DeMoreo?:cool:

I've seen more Brooks smiling, hamming it up pictures on the various internet sites that all the previous years combined. I may start a collection. Brooks has been portrayed as a crabby old man when in reality he is a very experienced person with a many faceted personality who also knows a heck of a lot about football.

I believe he is really coming into his own, his comfort level isevident as is his fatherly demeanor. I think the players really are relating to this man and it is really showing.

Nice post, UedK, and I certainly agree. :)

I think that the majority of the players that Brooks has recruited like him a lot.

As for the reports of players not liking him, I those were primarly players from the Guy Morris era who were still loyal to him.

I'm not really convinced that even the Morris recruits actually dislike Brooks...that is not how I've heard it...but I don't claim to have any inside knowledge myself, either.

Yeah, I don't know if they disliked him as much as they just lost their faith in what they were doing. Three coaches in four years will do that to you, I guess.

That is a good point, though.

They didn't dislike him. He was really like an adopting parent.
