Top Linebacker Will Visit ClemsonBy Phil Kornblut
LB Chris Walker (6-3 220) of Memphis has decided on four of his official visits...Clemson, Tennessee, LSU and Alabama. He has not set any dates. Walker says Clemson has been showing him a lot of attention. "I got a letter from every member of the staff today (Wednesday) he said. "I talked to coach Bowden about a week and a half ago." Walker said Notre Dame has also been in touch and is indicating an offer. He also has offers from Miami, Louisville, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Memphis, Auburn, Kentucky and Michigan. There is no favorite.

I hope we are on the Walker kid as he goes to the same school Chris Mosbey attended. The school- my high school- is a terrific platform for players and scholars. I hope we can find a way to capitalize on his teammate's commitment to KY.

Since it appears that Kornblut has already set four of his official visits, we must get that fifth one to have a chance. Getting him here could be huge, as the coaches and players are seemingly impressive as being one family, with folks really caring about one another. Here's hoping that our current strength at the linebacker position is not a detterent, though.

P.S. A friend has since pointed out the article's title to me (which I had noteven bothered to read). That title says Kornblut plans to visit Clemson (and I had at least noticed the article's mentioning that Clemson was alsoshowing him alot of attention),so that seems to mean UK's getting that fifth and final visit is not going to happen. :(
