I hope I don't lose any 'cool points' for saying this, but...
I like Five for Fighting. A lot. I own all of their albums, and as soon as the next one comes out, I'll buy that one too. I listen to them while I'm driving to work, working on the computer, mowing the yard, swimming, jogging (ok, I don't jog. But if I did jog, by God I'd listen to Five for Fighting).
I'm aware that their music is pure schmaltz, but I would challenge anybody to find more perfectly constructed schmaltz than you can find on "America Town", "The Battle for Everything", or their newest album, "Two Lights".
I'll save you some time; you can't. It doesn't exist...yet. Let John Ondrasic and his band return to the studio yet again, and then maybe there will be something we can add to the list.
Until then, pick up "Two Lights" and let the simple chord progressions, cheesy lyrics, and overly emotive vocals take you to a place that Matchbox 20 could only dream existed.
Anybody agree? Does anybody else have any other musical guilty pleasures they'd like to get off their chests? Here's your opportunity...

Oh no...what does this say about me?!?
I've already confessed to liking Five for Fighting now Buddah has mentioned another one of my guilty pleasures...Black Eyed Peas. Should I just go ahead and admit I own a Kelly Clarkson CD or will that cost me my Man Card? :ggrin:
OK I'm not listening to anything but Rock and Roll all weekend!

:ggrin: Come on Buddah! I respect your tastes...are you sure you've given them a chance? I mean a real chance...listen to their newest offering "Two Lights" start to finish...you can't not like it!
RxRusty, when you say you're going to listen to rock 'n roll all weekend, I assume you mean that you're going to listen to Five for Fighting all weekend... right? They'll rock your socks off...very subtly. And passionately. And put them back on for you when they're done. They're sweet like that...:ggrin:
