When I saw him on our list of prospects yesterday, I was going to ask about him. I believe that Scout has him as a 3 star player.

Previous updates:

March 07, 2005
DB Ameer Salahudin (6-1 185) also plays receiver and tailback. Last season he had 35 tackles with 12 knockdowns and 5 interceptions. He also rushed for 300 yards and 6 touchdowns. "He's a big kid who can run and is powerful," Parker said. "He makes things happen. He can cover. We put him on Reynaldo (Hunter) in the Byrnes game and he covered him up except for one play." Salahudin has an offer from Clemson while USC, Maryland, Duke, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Georgia, Auburn, Notre Dame and NC State are very interested. He will attend Clemson's junior day this Saturday.

March 31, 2005
DB Ameer Salahudin (6-1 185) of TL Hanna says he has picked up new offers from Maryland, NC State and Kentucky to go along with his earlier offer from Clemson. He also is drawing interest from USC, Tennessee, Auburn, North Carolina, Duke, Virginia Tech and Ohio State. He added junior days at Clemson and USC and will attend combines for Nike, Adidas and the US All American Bowl. He says he does not have a leader among the schools showing interest. His actual favorite is Miami but so far he's not getting any interest from them.

June 10, 2005
T.L. Hanna DB Ameer Salahudin (6-1 185) recently picked up an offer from the Clemson Tigers. Salahudin has also picked up offers from Maryland, North Carolina and N.C. State. Salahudin was supposed to be traveling to Atlanta, Georgia for a one day camp session at Georgia Tech this weekend, but that has fallen through due to Salahudin having to take the ACT this Saturday. Salahudin had an excellent junior season having 35 total tackles, 13 punts blocked, 5 interceptions and 6 touchdowns. Salahudin has also drawn interest from Tennessee, Auburn, Duke, Ohio State, USC, Virginia Tech and Kentucky. Salahudin recently missed out on a particular camp session that he really wanted to be at. "I missed the camp down in Miami and I really hate that because I wanted them to get a chance to see me", said Salahudin. Salahudin also confirmed that he will be traveling with his team up to Clemson for a 7 on 7 camp session next weekend. Salahudin says he currently does not have a favorite, but he would like to have a top five at the end of summer.

And every time a Little or Kelly gets all that PT and attention at UK as a frosh, that just makes Joker's job that much easier down in S.C. and Ga. That's not to say that it is easy, just easy-er! Funny thing. S.C.'s population isn't that much larger than Ky's---just that the proportion of Blacks is so much greater. So that state generates more quality players than Ky does. I think between the SEC and ACC, the southeast will be the nation's strong-hold for football for decades to come.

Yes. That's where Little went to high school.

Also, one of the articles above said that this makes the 2nd commitment from South Carolina, but it's actually the 3rd. Along with this one, we have Lamarkus Boswell and Calvin Harrison.

Great pick up here. Rated as a top 30 corner? Makes me smile! I agree with the other poster. We need a new staff. LOL :ggrin:

Solid commitment. The last TL Hanna product UK signed turned out to be a pretty good pick-up.

Radio came up and was an honorary captain or some such title for the Alabama game last year. He and Rafael led the team onto the field before the game.
