A very good movie, even better than I had hoped for. Mark Wahlberg is becoming one of my favorite actors, not to mention the beautiful Elizabeth Banks. Along the feel good lines of "Cinderella Man", "Seabiscuit", "The Rookie"and "Miracle".
I'll see this one again. Clip from the movie........

Boogie Night is one of the best films i have ever seen, i thought it was a brillant character study.. Human Frailities in the context of a porn family, right before the video revolution came in along with other things in the late 70s and early 80s in that particular business in the san frando valley... I guess to each their own.. it isn't a film you would want to watch on family night, but i thought it was a brillant film.. The countdown as William H Macy blows his head off, right as the clock strikes 1980, was an awesome piece of filmmaking. Paul Thomas Anderson is one of the top three directors making serious films working today. Mark was great in that role, i thought.. under stated acting to a tee. I didn't even ask you if you liked the film, sorry.

I saw Invincible last night myself and I agree with Wildcat Rick. It's a very good movie. Mark Wahlberg does a great job. The actor who plays Dick Vermeil has him nailed. I also like the interaction between the gang of guys Wahlberg hangs around with from South Philadelphia in the movie. Also, the game sequences show a lot of as if you were seeing it from the players' eyes. Some of the best game action I've seen filmed.
Another good point is there is almost no profanity in the movie. Matter of fact, I can't tell you where in the movie I heard any at all. It's a safe movie if you want to take your kids.
I'd highly recommend it.

Greg Kinnear plays Vermeil.
Looks a lot like him.

I saw a story about the movie, before it came out, stating that the star, Walberg, really took the hits from the players ( refusing to use a stunt double ), making for a more realistic picture.
