Signing Period Starts Wednesday

The early signing period starts Wednesday, and at this time, UK is expected to sign three top players out of Kentucky:

Arnika Brown - considered a top 50 national recruit
Lydia Watkins - Arnika's teammate; her coach has commented that signing her is a steal
Brittany Edelen - one of the most athletic players in Kentucky, considered a candidate for Miss Basketball

There has been talking of a possible fourth recruit - either Janae Stokes, a guard out of Georgia. Or even possibly, Sade Buley, former UK player who was dismissed from the team.

Supposedly, Amani Franklin will also be signing with the Cats, according to a Scout headline.

Here's some info on her:

Malone attests to the fact that all of her girls are athletes who can play dual roles on the court. Quaticua can play either the 1 or 2 position as well as Natalie, depending on the formation the Raiders are running. The versatile Amani can play the point also because of her ability to handle the ball. She can shoot from the perimeter and her height allows her to play at the forward positions and down under. "Amani is the most versatile player I've ever coached," said Malone. "Quaticua is very aggressive. She'll give you a hundred percent no matter how she's feeling. Natalie is great on defense because she carries very long arms on her 5-8 frame.

She did but we're still waiting on Brown at this time.

All four, including Arnika, have now signed. Blue Star ranks it as the 23rd incoming class.
