Kentucky got a double dose of good recruiting news yesterday.
Point guard prospect Jai Lucas included UK on his narrowed list of college choices. And forward prospect Patrick Patterson decided not to add North Carolina to his narrowed list.
North Carolina asked for a second chance after Patterson named a final six of UK, Duke, Florida, Virginia, Wake Forest and West Virginia. The player's mother, Tywanna Patterson, said her son decided against adding North Carolina, in part, because he did not feel a "rapport" with the Tar Heels. North Carolina was a late arrival in the recruiting race.
Meanwhile, Lucas narrowed his choices to such schools as Oklahoma State, Maryland and Kentucky.
Lucas and Patterson have spoken of going to the same college in a package deal. As Tywanna Patterson noted, "the only common denominator is Kentucky."

A UK fan can take some "good feelings" out of this, but the Golden Rule of Recruiting is... "Don't celebrate until they ink." (or something to that extent)

We don't even have verbals yet, but it would be great for both Lucas, Patterson and UK if they decided to come to Kentucky.

Clearly you can never, ever count your chickens before they hatch when it comes to recruiting, but at least it is positive. I will take all the good news I can get right now even if it is not really news.
