I agree. Hickson is already leaning towards FL and when he comes in for that charged game against UCF and the ring ceremony we might get him. So while Patrick is the all world recuit and will be the gem of our class along with Nick, he will not break our class. However he can make our clas great if he also joins in.

If we dont get Patrick Patterson, I hope UK gets it. We need to keep the top recruits form the south to stay in the conference!

It would be unprecedented for one school to land three quality big kids in one class, all of whom play the same spot. I just don't see that happening. Landing Hickson and Parsons is a much different situation than landing Hickson, Parsons, and Patterson.

Still, Parsons and Hickson would solidify Florida's frontcourt for the next three years.

The only thing that's solidified about our frontcourt is the blue paint inside the key at Rupp.

I dont know what Billy is trying to do. But I guess if we dont get patterson he might go hard after James Anderson. Also we already have Alex Tyus another 3/4 combo forward and possibly a shotblocking PF if he puts on some weight.

Guess Billy wants to strike it when the iron is hot. But the 2008 class is also loaded, I thought we might save a ship or two for 08. Right now if we take only two more we will have only one to give in 2008. we always have some attrition and guess we will have maybe 2-3 open for 2008.

UK might get Patterson, who knows and also Coker/Koshwal. You guys will be fine.

This can only be seen as good news for Kentucky recruiting-wise, IMO.

Koshwal has no interest in us. Patterson says he is interested, at least his mother is and that is good. Coker? I don't know beans about him.

We have spots open so why not be a good neighbor and send us somebody. Can we trade you a truck load of bourbon for a power forward who can run down the court without falling down?

Tubby needs all of the help you Gator folks can dish his way. He can't do it by himself.

Billy must really love 3/4 guys. Werner, Tyus, and now Parsons.

It would be a surprise to see Hickson, Parsons, and Patterson all go to the same school. Whether or not Florida gets Patterson, though, I think they're a lock for a top 5 class.

And our staff should telling all of our remaining targets that Florida is full, no playing time to be had there.

From the article

"This is an awesome group of guys coming in," said Parsons. "I've played with or against all these guys and every one of them can play. Nick's the best point guard in the country. He's my best friend but if I had to play with one guy it would be Nick because he's such a great teammate. Gary is a really quick guard who can play great defense and shoot the three. Adam Allen is one of the purest shooters you'll find and he's a tough defensive player. Alex Tyus is a great finisher and he can block shots."
The Gators can sign as many as two other players in the class of 2007 and the top targets for those two spots are 6-8-1/2 power forward Patrick Patterson (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p=8&c=1&nid=1572801) of Huntington, West Virginia and 6-9 center J.J. Hickson (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p=8&c=1&nid=1867045) of Marietta (GA) Wheeler. Parsons said that the Florida commits are going to start working hard to get Patterson and Hickson in the class.

Coach Smith has his work cut out. We better hope Lucas is working hard on Patrick to pull off that package deal.

Just because Florida can sign more, doesn't mean those remaining recruits won't see the logic of choosing Kentucky over Florida. You can't prepare for the next-level if you're sitting on the bench.

Go Cats!
