saw Porter Wagoner do a song on his old show that they replay on RFD TV some time back and i don't know the name of the song......the only lyrics i remember are where it goes into the chorus and says something like "so take me far across the wide missouri" or something like that......the song is actually about childhood and growing up back home....
i know somebody in the nation out there can help me!

Eddy Arnold did a song called "Across The Wide Missouri", not sure if its the same song.

yeah, in searching i came across that one, the kingston trio did a version of that one too...but that one was slow and the one i'm inquiring about was upbeat and had almost a more bluegrassy feel, uptempo....but thanks!
