Thread: Now That's a TEAM!!!

  1. Now That's a TEAM!!!

    Great Win Wildcats!

The half court offense was cooking, we keep level heads and scoring was balanced. Great Game by Eric Bledsoe with 23 points and I think it was 8 of 10 shooting! Wall had NO Turnovers! Pat got another double-double!

Way to go guys, we're coming along and looking like a great TEAM today!

  4. Impressive.

As I said in a previous thread, we really are improving with every game. This team is going to be downright SCARY by March.

We are looking like the Kentucky teams of the mid-1990's actually maybe even better. This is a great day to be a UK Wildcat fan. Even Seth Davis and Tim Brando had to say that Kentucky was good and would get even better. I have great hopes for this team.

  8. First time we've really looked great in the half-court!

What is scarey is that this UK team isn't even close to hitting their potential!!

I am going to sit back and enjoy the ride "limo style"!!

  10. One thought while watching the game...I just can't thank John Calipari enough for this.

  11. Agreed! We haven't even yet hit full stride and we're still darned good. But today was a great, balanced TEAM effort!

And that's no slam to Wall whatsoever. He's had no choice but to have been carrying us through the wins we got up until now! I'm thinking Cal will be pleased with our play today, can't wait to hear what he has to say!

It sure is. We showed today that you better not sit back in a zone against us. We picked IU apart in the first half, and just kept attacking when they went man in the second.

Very good sign. With the way we play in transition, if we can become an efficient halfcourt team...

  13. I watched them play live in Madison Square garden on Wednesday. They do have a lot of talent, a very good coach and can throw a lot of different looks at their opponents. They have as much talent as anyone in the country and can be a scary team by March for opponents.

That is the way I see it too capcat. John Calipari came along just at the right time and I really believe that he is as good of a coach as there is in the country right now.

Most of us seem to be describing Wall's game as so-so for his standards. #11 had 8 assists and NO TURNOVERS, plus he pulled down 6 rebounds. Not to mention how much Indiana's defense focused on him and all the intangibles he brings to the game.

If it isn't Wall, it's Patterson. If not Pat, it's Bledsoe. Somebody always decides to take the reins and score 20+ points with the rest of the team still in double figures.

Can't wait to have Orton come off the bench and be a carbon copy of Pat or Cousins. Spring Break falls over March Madness this year.... relaxing at home with my family bleeding blue... awesome!

to be fair , Wall did have one turnover, on a charging call.

Fair enough, though ESPN's box score listed him with 0 turnovers.

and that's the way it always was with the UK teams of the past. there's nothing better than balance...especially when you're not just deep...but you have "star" depth too. With so many guys who can step up, it's near impossible for them all to have off-nights at once = many wins for UK

I'm not sure what you're saying here. But I'm sure I have never described John Wall's standards as so so! And I did say in the original post:

Please help me understand what you mean there. Thanks!
