Just saw it. Yuck! I know it wound up looking worse than it was since he wanted to go back in the game. I'm sure it is really sore today, though. It reminded me of the Theisman video. I'm glad it wasn't as bad.
I couldn't believe he went back in the game. The guy has some serious guts!

He said it was broken....hope he knows he is gonna get clowned for that! In all seriousness, the first thing it reminded me of was a post fight interview of Mike Tyson - you have to wach the video, IT IS HILARIOUS!!!! Also there is a treat at the 1:54 mark on the ticker at the bottom as well! Notice the score at the ticker at the begining of the interview....

Dude is tough as nails. TOUGH AS NAILS!
That was one of those I couldn't watch the second time, that had to be extremly painful!!!
Like he said, ONE TOUGH DUDE!!
That was some gutsy play there by Rondo no if and or buts about it.....
When he came back in he actually hit the ground again on the left side and would have put his left arm down to catch himself. Instead, he chose to hit the ground full force with his left shoulder....
I just hope he can be ready to go in game 4 because without Rajon, the Celtics are in a world of hurt...........
I fully understand the importance of that game, but I'm not too sure of how smart that was to be playing with one arm in the second half. You would think he would be getting an MRI, x-rays or treatment.
But I'm like you I hope he can go game 4!!!
It would be awfull if long term damage was done by playing with the injury!!

I saw it. I bet it did wonders for the confidence of the backup point guards when a one-armed guy is playing and they are sitting on the bench.
I watched the game and when it first happened, due to the camera angle, my first though was either he was acting or it was a wrist problem. When they showed the other angles I grunted and grabbed my own elbow knowing how that had to hurt. Kudos to Rondo for letting them pop it back in place and getting back on the court. I sure hope it isn't too painful for him.
How you react to situations is your personal choice.
He was a WILDCAT..of course he is as tough as nails![]()

Even I am not old enough to clearly remember the Willis Reed moment for the Knicks, but Rondo has now provided the Celtics with theirs.
I can't even imagine how good he would have been playing for Cal.
Rondo is one helluva ball player and when people mention point guards they first thing they say is Wall...............
Am i missing something here??????
Rondo doesn't get near enough of the credit that he deserves...........

Yeah, Rondo's arm was nasty last night.
#1 Kentucky fan in Idaho!
At Kentucky i think Rondo was looked upon as a problem child simply because he didn't agree with Tubby's style of play and philosophy. Take into account the Sparks situation and in the end, Rajon was portrayed as a bad guy by most. Truth is, Rondo is a fierce competitor and doesn't bite his tongue. Some will respect that while others will condone him for that.
All in all, i think Rajon's biggest asset is his desire and will to win. It's a trait that's never going to show up on a stat sheet or on the scouting report but at the end of the day, it's a must have to be a champion......
I don't think that's totally it. He's had problems in Boston as well.
I saw Matt May of The Cats' Pause post a few months ago that Rondo was the most difficult player he had ever had to interview at Kentucky. And as I've posted a few times, I went to Tubby's coaches' clinic the year after Rondo left; a friend of mine was told in confidence by one of the support staff that Rondo was the main reason for the poor season in Tubby's next-to-last year at Kentucky and everyone was glad he was gone.
He's a strange guy, so I'm not sure the "It was Tubby's fault" defense works on him. And I think it's the main reason people are drawn more to players like Tayshaun and Wall and Cousins--players with much more personality--than they have been Rondo.
He's a helluva player, though, and was undoubtedly misused during his second year at UK.
As bad as i hate to admit, i think the Celtics are done this year being down 3 to 1 to the Heat. I just can't see Boston coming back especially with Rondo not at a 100%. Also, Ainge trading Perkins and Nate Robinson for Green and Kristic has to be one of the dumbest trades i have ever seen before in my liftetime as a fan. You don't trade away your key players in the middle of a Championship run and it's now official in my opinion as a Boston fan, it's time to rebuild and reload around Rajon............
