    Really interesting.

Hard to fathom any situation where Calipari strikes out, especially against Ben Howland with the state that program is in, so my initial thought is that MKG might be getting loose for another run.

I'd probably give about three toes to have MKG back, maybe even four.

I don't think MKG is coming back. I just think Cal might miss on Shabazz. The family, location, and supposed Adidas ties may just be too strong.

You just never know what MKG is gonna do. Dude is just built unlike anybody I've seen play at Kentucky. Sort of has an...aura. And yeah I know that sounds stupid.

Re: Shabazz. Cal is going recruiting soon. No doubt that recruiting trip will swing him out west. And after hearing Meyer say again and again and again that last year's recruiting class may be an epic bust, right up until the day it became #1, I'll hold my horses for a bit.

I don't think you've ever felt a recruit was going anywhere other than Kentucky.

Last year = the Brandon Knight class.

Meyer kept saying Kentucky might not sign any big name, then we got Knight and he started to say that Knight may be it, then we got Jones and Lamb.

I got that part. I just wasn't aware that he called that class a potential bust.

  13. If he doesn't want to come here and be like the guys we had this year (by that I mean giving up their own stats for the betterment of the team I would rather not have him). That's what made this year's team so special. They were all willing to make sacrafices for the good of the team. I don't just want the most talented players. If they're not thinking TEAM/me. I'd rather not have them. It take more than just talent to win a championship.

I agree, a good example is UCONN, look how far their talent got them last season. But unfortunately it is gonna be rare to ever have a team as unselfish as this group. I think Cal will always get them to buy into playing defense but a kid like Shabazz wants to be the man. But Noel really intrigued me because he said that he loves how Davis plays because he shows how his defense changed every game no matter if he scored 6 points or 28, I love that mentality...Defense won us this Championship and I will argue till im blue in the face with anyone who doesnt beleive that.

Well, if it sounds stupid, sign me up for stupid because I know exactly what you mean.

I can't imagine we'd be so fortunate as to have MKG return, but he could run for governor if he does.

Give me another year of MKG over Shabazz any day of the week.

    Any week and any season.

Lots of prognosticators believe UCLA will avoid major NCAA penalties this upcoming year. Almost the whole world believes Shabazz M is one and gone. Maybe three quarters and gone if he has to sit 8/ 10 games.
If you think about TV market share and the real weakness of the Pac 10, Mr. SM could come in and UCLA could run the table with him as the star. Not a bad way to start and end your college career. Sure didn't hurt Love any.

  18. I am hearing from a few people today that Duke may still have a shot at Muhammed. They had apparently laid off a little bit with some concerns but have come on strong the past two weeks.

That would be the worst thing that could happen. But you know why he's thinking about going to Puke, is because he knows the NCAA will only make him sit out something like 3 exhibition games or something, to where if he comes here he will have to sit out half the season!

  20. Reliable sources tell me that none of these guys know what the hell they are talking about. Anyone can say Shabazz is going to UCLA. Then, if he does go to UCLA and the one who made the prediction is known for having inside information when, in fact, he just made and educated guess. I guess we'll know on Wed/ won't we?
