they beat us because we played bad.....because our defense is depleted badly due to injuries. They are not the better team. UL is struggling because they haven't got the kind of talent they need. That is on the staff in charge for failing to recruit what they need...I don't like UL, but I know what it's like to be in their shoes and a little humility would do us all well.

This board has been slow, i just wanted to get everyone talking again. I miss the days when beating a Sun Belt team wasnt a big deal, but it will probably be our last win of the year so i had to get some smack in.

I'd say WKU is pretty close to both. VMI were one of the highest scoring teams in the NCAA's for two straight years.

I was about to post that Louisville would surely beat Syracuse. I counted that as a UL win preseason. But I just pulled them up on ESPN and they look to be significantly improved this year. Still, I have a hard time seeing UL go winless in the Big East.

In your opinion was the attendance for Arkansas State an anomaly, or will it be like that for the rest of the season?

Halloween made the 20,000 "die hard fans" we have leave early, but im not sure that halloween can be used as an excuse for a 3:30 game time. It wouldnt have mattered 3 years ago, i can guarantee that. i saw someone throw tickets away in a dumpster before the game because he couldnt give them away. I think a lot of fans are have trouble with wanting the Cards to win but realizing too much winning means Kragthorpe stays, and that makes it harder to watch.

All that being said, i expect a bit more, like 25,000 at Syracuse.

Was the Arkansas State game the smallest crowd ever in stadium history? How long ago was the last time UL drew that small a crowd?

UL fans treat losing teams pretty harshly, as in Crum's twilight.

Still, they'll be back for the opener next year.

And he called it right. You disappear off the board for close to, if not over, a year, and then you re-appear right before your precious Cards lose to UK AGAIN in football, and now all you do is put in drive-by style posts and try to cop some kind of attitude about it. You might not like it, but LAME is exactly what it is. As far as the board being slow, it was YOU and your Card buddies who got that started. I think its safe to say that football is a somewhat "bandwagon" sport at UofL. I do think theres a lot of people not going to make a statement, but theres a lot of fans that have lost interest. The next hire for UofL is very important. Getting a guy like Fulmer wouldnt really pump the fans back up for next year (but its obviously better than Krags), but getting a coach like Gruden or Shanahan (which ive said i dont buy the rumors but still...) is really needed to get the fans back. Regardless of who we get, my point is he needs the opposite personality of Krags. Everyone is sick of this "W/L dont matter, its all about loving each other"- I will get the exact quote from Scott Long but thats pretty much what he said

I think it is the smallest number of fans at PJCS

Dont compare our basketball fans to football fans. In Crums 12-19 seasons, we still packed freedom hall, and we had it 4/5 full during an NIT game
