Here's a write-up on the Tennessee exhibition. Hopson had 20.

And here's the Mississippi State win. Seems like Oklahoma City almost beat MSU in an exhibition last year, and the Dogs struggled in this one for much of the night. Ravern Johnson had 23, Varnado had 9 points and 11 boards.

Oklahoma City is almost always in the NAIA Final Four. I think that's where Eric Manual went after UK, wasn't it?

I vaguely remember watching Oklahoma City play in the national championship game when they had Manual. Seems like I remember him doing virtually nothing in the game, and me thinking, "All that for him?"

IIRC he had a weight problem that limited the career everybody thought he was going to have?

Ray Harper (former Ky. Wesleyan coach) led OK City to one or two NAIA titles a few years ago. They're a solid program.

I'll be interested to see how my GC Tigers do against Mississippi State. Last year they gave U of L all they could handle, then got smoked by BYU the next week.

Ledford barely looked up as he answered. "I did my last game a week ago."

Some generally useless trivia, but Dillard is coached by former Wildcat Dale Brown, for those who didn't know.

Looks like UT is still not playing much defense.

Thats right, I saw at least one NC game with a seriously overweight Eric Manual playing for OKC. He is however, I believe, a member of the OKC Hall of Fame and had quite a prolific career at that level. (I've looked this up on their athletics website in the past, don't want to invest the time to do it again and confirm it, sorry folks!)

Ah, yes - the Great Non-Fouling Beast returns for his second decade.

Jodie went pro and Vernardo didn't?
