No respect for the SEC

The SEC was ranked 5th in the big six conferences. This seems mad to me. What other conference had as many returning draft picks?

I couldn't care less about whether the SEC as a whole is good or not. Some people have been saying about how great the conference is going to be this year but that doesn't seem to be the "expert" opinion. Honestly, I'm fine with the whole conference sucking other than UK and us beating everybody by 20 like in '96. A crappy conference didn't hurt us that year and it wouldn't hurt us this year. When you're atop 5 team going into March...you don't care about strength of schedule. Luckily no BCS in college hoops!!

The SEC has to prove itself again. Last year, the consensus among sportswriters was that the SEC was down. They won't change their minds until they have no choice.

When the Cats are down, seemingly the conference as a whole is down. I don't agree with that asessment but last year wasn't a good year for the SEC. There are a ton of talented players in this league who are on horrible teams.

I heart this post!

I'm not a "conference pride" man. I don't chant "S-E-C" at sporting events and I don't root for the other teams when they're not playing Kentucky. Like you, it wouldn't bother me a bit if every other team lost every single game they played. Especially Florida.

I agree, was a difficult year for the conference as a whole. I think next year (not this year) we will see the resurgence as a conference. I say that because it many crooked eyes are gonna be watching us to see how we do as well as the rest of the SEC in the tournament.
